Before we get too far into the year...

Before we get too far into 2017, I'd like to look back at the year of change for my little business.  2016 was a year of change and growth!  We moved to our beautiful new location; we have a new website to reflect that new location; we added new team members; and, of course, we have many clients that have supported us along the way!

I'd like to thank EVERYONE who made this all possible.  And would like to highlight a few of those folks that truly went above and beyond to make my dream come true.

First (and always first), I'd like to thank Mallie Baker....she truly is the wind beneath my wings.  I love you, Mom.

I'd also like to thank Inga Bateman, real estate extraordinaire, who held my hand throughout the entire process of finding and negotiating our new location. 

Special thanks to Mary Sue Weinaug for all her help and who gave me the opportunity to work with William Weinaug, Jr., our engineer...Bill made sure that I would remain intact at project's end.

And of course, I thank our General Contractor and team...Warren Rizzi, Dwain Dunning and Chandler Hall, for their excellent work and guidance during the construction process. 

Lastly, thank you to my husband, Bob, and son, David, who have loved me throughout my journey.

In closing, I'd like to wish you all a terrific 2017 and a year of grateful purpose.

The story of Jennifer...

I am fortunate, at times, to be able to use my experience and education to help clients that suffer unfortunate and life-altering accidents.  Some times, they are kind enough to let me share their story.

One of those is Jennifer Medlock. Here is her story and shared photos....

"I started coming to Donna in December of 2014, following a Traumatic Brain injury that left me in a wheelchair.  My left foot was completely turned in and this prevented me from being able to walk.  After several months of Donna's treatments, I was back to walking!  I know that Donna's diligence and expertise got me walking MUCH faster!"

Trying to Make a Difference...

In January, 2014, I was privileged to be part of the North American School of Podology's four-day footcare clinic to help over 900 people living on the island of St. Kitts with skin and nail-related foot problems.

My team, led by NASP founder Dr. Katharin von Gavel, was comprised of 60 dedicated doctors, nurses, estheticians, pedicurists, and support staff.  The team also included thirty-two members of the graduating students who had completed their residency program for the Bachelor of Science in Podology.  I was part of that group and honored to be part of this dynamic and unique opportunity to give back.

We offered foot care for diabetics and a host of other conditions, including extreme rough and dry skin, painful cracked heels, and severely thickened toenails.  Part of the service included education on proper footwear and home care.

I will never forget this life-changing experience or the feeling of pride that I was able to serve and put my education to such good use.
